Hey, you guys! I'm glad they came back -- this is the beginning of a flight of four locks -- the first three are literally one large lock with three lifts in the lock. Built in the early 1800's and still in use
We are at the top of the second lift, and about to go into the third. Only banged into those large stone walls one time -- got my attnetion!
And, Jaye got her wish to help lock through!
If you look carefully, you can see all three gates behind us -- one more to go

Note that grin! By the end of the day my smile muscles were tired, I had so much fun. This was an absolutely AMAZING experience.
