Walking around the village of Clayton, we saw several very comfortable homes from the late 1800s and early 1900s
The Clayton waterfront from the river -- a town obviously focused on life on the river and in the islands
Lighthouse right before the I 81 bridge to Canada ... the channel down river from Clayton becomes very narrow, it's mostly deep to the edges, but when the big guys showed up, I certainly didn't want to be in the same place as they were. Luckily, the speed limit was 10 miles per hour over ground -- and that's about what we were doing.
