Cruising -- the joys and the work

Ellen and Melissa, working at setting up the grill -- picture taken on the Erie -- but you get the idea -- it ain't all smiles and giggles.

We have had some wonderful cooking on this grill -- and I'm sure there will be more to come.

Then, there is the question of making that lump of rubber into a dinghy -- it was hot in the sun, so we took turns and the peculiar dance of the foot pump. Picture taken at Leek Island (we kept the dinghy inflated in the Thousand Islands cause any cruising we did was at 6 knots or less and we could just tow it behind Sonador)

Then, there are moments to just relax. The water temperature was in the fifties -- although the temptation to jump in was great.

See, I believe in the old fashioned approach to getting around -- no, really!
