A little further on and you start seeing homes like this -- built in the early 1800s, it now belongs as a vacation home to someone from California -- the neighbor asked if I had moved in, I had to say no (but if someone wants to adopt me?)
And, then there has to be at least one more spectacular home. Both these had a road and nothing else between them and the river. WOW

Just panning a little to the right. The blue boat is the pilot for the River -- they are in and out at least three/four times a day (don't know about night)
And, a view of the Marina itself -- rather rustic in Chesapeake Bay terms, but the people here are really very special.

Lovely water, boat, home scenes... Great to hear the local people are so welcoming and generous.
