Yesterday I saw my first Poker Race -- glad I was ashore and not on the River. First hint that something was going on was the sound of a jet plane landing about 100 yards from me -- turns out that MY WAY is a sixty foot jet boat, complete with enclosed cockpit etc. She was quickly followed by about forty cigarette type boats -- all coming up river from Alexandria Bay, NY for a quick around the island race and return to Alexandria Bay. MY WAY was the pace boat. When they left, the sound was deafening --and the rooster tails enormous. Bet there was more fuel expended in that one hour of "fun" than I'll spend all summer.
Charlee, have to say that I like your MY WAY much better -- but thought you'd get a chortle out of this.
Rain last night, and threatening again today, but Chessie and I are prepared for a quiet day of relaxation -- Linda Scofield arrives tonight for the next week of fun on the water.
Still can't get over the clear air up here -- the sky is so blue, and the air so clean -- and the water in the marina even where there is ten feet, you can see the bottom. Lots of fishermen out early, the bass season has just opened -- and lots of people who retire to this part of the country from Philly, New York, and beyond -- must be something in the winter -- the early summer is spectacular!

We're enjoying your blog. Suki says thanks for the birthday gift. he and a friend held a joint party at a skating rink yesterday and had a great time. BTW, your nephew is also blogging. Check out www.ridin'dirtyinroma.blogspot.com. He's having a ball.
OOps. It's ridindirtyinroma- no apostrophe.
I wouldn't mind making the time that the other "My Way" apparently does, but sure am glad I don't have to pay the fuel bill. Guess I'll do my speed with the "Hyway" and continuing voyaging "My Way"
;-)
Am tryly enjoying your pictures. Hi to Linda!
