We are almost to Troy, NY but decided to stop after almost ten hours on the Hudson. We had tide going with us, so we managed almost 10.3 over the bottom (through the water was less than 8.5) going north past the cliffs of the lower Hudson to the gentle slopes of the north, we are al most reeady to start the Erie,
Mid day or early afternoon tomorrow.
Pictures tomorrow night
Miss everyone, but gotta say this is an experience of a lifetime. Never seen cliffs like these, never seen mountains like these, just never seen anything like this from the water.
Best decision I ever made, only I don't have my friends along for the ride

you may not have your friends with you physically but we're with you virtually and spiritually every step of the way....what an experience to be able to undertake....I'm in awe of the trek
We miss you too! Give Chessy a big hug for me.
Congrats on discovering a "newer" Baltimore! :-)
I agree with Bob, Melissa - all your friends are with you ... and can you feel the jealousy over cyberspace? <*grin*>
Saw a headline in the WashPost today - "United grounds flights to save fuel" - well, duh! Made me think of your >$5/gal diesel in NY.
this is incredible. almost makes me feel bad for all the guilt I tried to induce. but we are having as much if not more fun than you are, dealing with our dear friends in that very special organization. worth a blog unto itself, but only after I retire. i trust you will be able to identify the author of this comment. our best wishes continue to sail behind you
