On Into Canada

First night at anchor in Harbor Island Michigan -- after a peaceful crossing of Lake Huron -- an island owned by the Nature Conservancy and managed by the Michigan DNR. My first time anchored inside the Island which forms a circle around the harbor.

Then the next day we crossed the North Channel to clear Canadian Customs at Thessalon, Ontario. Had a delightful dinner ashore with fellow boaters who we are buddy boating with. Yesterday we traveled east to Turnbull Island and an interesting entry where there are rocks on both sides of you just under the surface of the water. But we are in and anchored -- and staying for two days.

Ms Sophie is getting to be quite the little dinghy dog -- enjoying every minute of her time ashore, and even seeming to gain some pleasure in the process of getting there.
